Alright, here goes the third instalment of the affiliate series.
Now, how do you get started with Affiliate Marketing?
Basically, you need to search the internet for a product that you have an interest in or a product that you think has a great demand.

Alternatively, you can go to:
Go to http://www.goodkeywords.com
Download and install the software and key in the desired keyword (or subject you are keen in). Look at the results. What the software does is that it will pull out a list of keywords that people actually searched for. As a rule of thumb, you should be looking for keywords that has at least over 10,000 searches.
Next, go to http://www.clickbank.com. Click on Promote Products (you will be brought to the marketplace); then, search for products that you have researched earlier and choose a couple of affiliate programs to join. To promote products from Clickbank, you need to signup with Clickbank for your referral nickname and account.
Know the products that you are going to promote. Take notes on the benefits of the products you have chosen.
After that, you can put the affiliate products (which will have your affiliate links) in your own website or, if you do not have a website, create an Adwords account from Google.

Then, create ads promoting your products. Google adwords allows you to control your budget and you are free to set your pay per click cost. Of course there are other ppc programs but having tried a few, I personally feel that Google Adwords is the easiest to navigate.
Pay per click means that each time someone sees your ads and clicks on it, you get billed. Note that You Pay no matter if the visitor buys your affiliate products or not.
Your profit is the net amount after deducting your advertsing expenses from the commissions you have earned.
